  • 2011

    With over 20 years of experience, SME's CEO Chris Moyer, capitalized on his business analytics and process improvement expertise by launching SME.

    Before SME, Chris spent a majority of his career with Florida Power & Light, Exelon Corporation, and Reliant Energy

  • 2012

    With the utilization of six sigma and advanced data solutions to seek out process defects and improvement areas, SME  provides a holistic view to ensure desired future states are not only met, but exceeded and sustained while focusing on the analysis of economic, financial, and risk factors for various project types.

  • 2014

    As the team expands, so does SME’s vertical and industry focus. It was at this point that the SME culture and business offerings started to see hockey stick growth.

  • 2015

    SME receives Qlik’s North American Partner Culture Award, a testament to the team's dedication to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation with our clients.

  • 2018

    SME Solutions Group remains dedicated to delivering Microsoft consulting services while further expanding its Microsoft partnership as a distinguished Gold Data Analytics and Power BI Partner.

    The SME Foundation was created to help non-profits and institutions with a focus on technology enhancements.

    SME obtained the United States of America Patent & Trademark for the acronym "SME" and corporate logo. 

  • 2019

    SME wins ThoughtSpot’s North America Emerging Partner of the Year.

    SME is a top 5 finalist for the Tampa Chamber’s Small Business of the Year.

    First annual golf event. 

  • 2020

    SME Solutions Group announces that it has acquired Aculytics, Inc., a Jacksonville, Florida data analytics consulting firm specializing in healthcare. Read more about the acquisition

    SME supports 52 healthcare facilities in FL with their Covid-19 analytics and reporting needs.

  • 2022

    SME launches BI as a Service offering, combining best-in-class technologies with industry expertise, resulting in an end-to-end solution.

  • 2023

    SME attends TBBW Philanthropist of the Year Awards Dinner where individuals and organizations were recognized for their philanthropic efforts in Tampa Bay.
