SME Solutions Group is a certified analytics implementation partner, focused on providing business intelligence solutions to its existing and future clients. We are currently looking for a BI Solutions Engineer to lead the Sales Support process of technical demonstrations of BI products and SME services. Prime focus is engaging with potential clients and demoing our platform(s) and suite of services.  Developing and managing the creation of new applications in a Proof of Concept setting for potential clients/industries to meet new use cases as well as expand SME’s industry reach. Also, responsible for creating presentations for sales pitches in addition to producing presentations/applications to demo at summits and conferences representing SME. 

Reports to the CEO & President.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead demo operations and Proof of Concept engagements as part of the SME Sales process for new potential clients
  • Maintains a high awareness of new BI toolsets, features, capabilities and applications that can be used in the Sales process, including competitive products analysis
  • Represent SME at Summits/Conferences/etc., build presentations for coinciding events
  • Assist in scoping out SOWs for potential clients
  • Assist in the interviewing and analysis for onboarding of new employees
  • Work with BI Product Sales Reps to assist in landing new clients/industries
  • Help with competitive analysis vs other BI Platforms
  • Help expand services at current clients
  • Host and lead workshops and Seeing is Believing Events
  • Business Development networking to attain new customers and software partners
  • Have Bias for Action, bring new ideas to the organization, and be 100% customer success centric

Qualifications:

  • Assists in the growth of SME revenues, mainly with new BI Software and BI Services
  • Deep Technical expertise and understanding of multiple BI visualization tools
  • Technical capabilities with data management, including SQL Server and other database technologies
  • Work directly with the CEO to increase revenue and suite of services
  • Understand the culture and philosophy of SME and our business model
  • Part of numerous Pilots and engagements that have expanded not only from license purchases but also departmental use cases resulting in increased billed services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, enterprising, and innovative approach to enforcing SME’s culture and persona

  • Ability to travel when necessary to existing and potential clients.
